Marvel Comics has teased a new Symbiote-related event is coming soon, and it spells the death of the Venomverse! Likely part of the “Summer of Symbiotes” that Marvel teased at SDCC, the new teaser promises more details soon, but it’ll be kicking off in June.
Along with the teaser text came a visual that appears to show Carnage on a pig pile of Symbiotes, one of which looks a bit like Venom. Could this summer event be spinning out of Ram V’s Carnage series?
Fans of Symbiotes will note “Venomverse” was a story arc written by Cullen Bunn and drawn by Iban Coello that ran in 2017. In that series, Venom was transported to another universe where Poisons existed that were quite good at wiping out Symbiotes. Maybe Symbiotes are taking the fight to the Poisons in this new story? Or maybe not, but we’ll find out soon!
