Cultural commentators and the rap stars themselves discuss the evolution of Hip Hop’s influence and how it resonated with people.

Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World debuts Tuesday, January 31, on PBS.

A War for Survival

In the world of The Ark, Earth is no longer a planet to sustain life. As a result, we have looked to space and have set out on planetary colonization missions to ensure the survival of the human race. The very first of these missions is carried out by the crew of Ark One.

The ship experiences trouble during their journey causing damage, casualties, and the tragic loss of their senior leadership. Those remaining must band together to overcome their current situation. From being more than a year from their destination to the limited supplies, it will require everyone pulling more than their own weight.

The series premiere of The Ark is Wednesday, February 1, on Syfy.  

The Biggest Night in Music

It’s that time again to recognize the excellence in the music industry for the past year. Some of the most popular names will be going head-to-head to earn one of entertainment’s most prestigious awards. It’s always exciting to see who will walk away with a Grammy.

Beyoncé has the potential to be the biggest winner with her nine nominations. Kendrick Lamar isn’t that far behind with eight while Adele and Brandi Carlile have seven each. You also can’t forget the performances and 2023 has some remarkable talent. Bad Bunny, Lizzo, Sam Smith, Steve Lacy, and Mary J. Blige are all confirmed to perform on stage with even more announcements to come along with some surprises.
