If our Channel Surfing TV picks this week are any indication, we can look forward to a great month of television this March. This cruise is far from relaxing in Wreck. Find out what’s next for Clan Mudhorn in the new season of The Mandalorian. Then, a beloved Arnold Schwarzenegger receives an adaptation in True Lies.
Partying, Excess, and Murder
Cruise ships are so large, that one can easily get lost without anyone batting an eye. The Sacramentum is one such vessel with a crew of 1000 to cater to all their guests. A 19-year-old Jamie is its newest employee, but work is the last thing on his mind.
He comes onboard to find his missing sister, who disappeared on the same ship on one of its voyages. Wreck is described as “a tense thriller, mixing comedy with a slice of slasher, set aboard a mega cruise ship.”
Stream Wreck beginning Wednesday, March 1, on Hulu.
This Is the Way
In The Book of Boba Fett, or some might dub The Mandalorian season 2.5, the youngling Grogu chose to be reunited with Din Djarin rather than continue his training as a Jedi. Now this dynamic duo is set for new adventures.
Season three looks to be jam packed with exciting narratives. As the holder of the Darksaber, Mando has the potential to unite and lead his people. He also sets his sights to return to the destroyed planet of Mandalore to atone for his past transgressions. Let’s also not forget that Grogu is still a high priority target by the remnants of the Empire.
The season three premiere of The Mandalorian will be made available starting Wednesday, March 1, on Disney+.
Adding Sizzle to Their Lives and Marriage
James Cameron might now be best known for his Avatar films, but he has quite the resume of movies even before Pandora. There is the 1994 summer blockbuster starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis entitled True Lies. The story follows a boring computer salesman who actually leads a double life as a spy. His wife eventually finds out his little secret and together they work to foil a terrorism plot.
True Lies is inspiring a television adaptation with Steve Howey and Ginger Gonzaga in the lead roles. We’re ensured a new global threat weekly and we’ll see how the lovely couple achieves that work/life balance. Surely they can save the world but can they save their relationship?
The series premiere of True Lies will air Wednesday, March 1, on CBS.
