New sequel series ‘Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder’ launching in July 2023

‘Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder’ features three stories and multiple variant covers.

Press Release

DC Comics had a huge hit on their hand with Harley Quinn: Black + White + Red, so much so it’s getting a sequel titled Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder! The series is iconic as its art-focused approach features stories in an anthology format that can only use black, white, and red in its artwork. The new six-issue limited series launches this July with a story by Chip Zdarsky and Kevin Maguire, Leah Williams and Natacha Bustos, and a story by Paul Scheer, Nick Giovannetti, and Tom Reilly.

Here’s a rundown of each story.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

Chip Zdarsky and Kevin Maguire: to send Harley and Poison Ivy deep into the heart of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude

Leah Williams and Natacha Bustos: to spin a story from Harley’s past, as a high-flying gymnast with vengeance on her mind!

Paul Scheer, Nick Giovannetti, and Tom Reilly: teaming Harley up with Gaggy Gagsworth, the original sidekick of The Joker. The two are paired up on a heist that’s worth the risk… If they can set aside their vendetta for each other long enough!

Check out the main cover by Bruno Redondo and variant cover by Guillem March below. The first issue will also have variant covers by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, Tom Reilly, and Kevin Maguire. See your local comic book shop for details and pre-ordering.

DC is back with more stories featuring Gotham City’s most unpredictable antihero with Harley Quinn: Black + White + Redder, the follow up to the Harvey award-nominated anthology series, Harley Quinn: Black + White + Red.

In this all-new six issue limited series, some of comic books’ finest talents tell brand-new Harley Quinn tales, rendered in the trademark black and white, with red spot color in each story. In the debut issue, writer Chip Zdarsky (Batman) teams up with artist Kevin Maguire (Justice League) to send Harley and Poison Ivy deep into the heart of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude, while Leah Williams (Marvel’s X-TerminatorsAmazing Mary Jane) joins artist Natacha Bustos (DC POWER: A Celebration) to spin a story from Harley’s past, as a high-flying gymnast with vengeance on her mind!

And actor Paul Scheer (Black Monday, Veep, The League) joins co-writer/producer Nick Giovannetti (Impractical Jokers, Far Cry New Dawn, Marvel’s Cosmic Ghost Rider) and artist Tom Reilly (Marvel’s X-Men: Snapshots, Morbius: Bond of Blood, Thor, The Immortal Hulk) in a story teaming Harley up with Gaggy Gagsworth, the original sidekick of The Joker. The two are paired up on a heist that’s worth the risk… If they can set aside their vendetta for each other long enough!

The debut issue of this six-issue limited series features a main cover by Bruno Redondo, with open to buy variant covers by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau and Guillem March. A 1 in 25 ratio variant cover is also available from Tom Reilly, with a 1 in 50 ratio variant cover by Kevin Maguire. See your local comic book shop for details and pre-ordering.
