Doctor Strange #5 is another strong entry in a series that does everything right. There’s a true payoff to the ongoing mystery which only raises the stakes for moving forward. In addition, the issue is executed properly and takes time to use the little moments to craft a well-rounded story. While returning from a brief hiatus, Pasqual Ferry uses every panel to deliver a visually stunning depiction of the magical world readers have entered. Furthermore, this is another great issue that only strengthens the series as a whole.

Knight Terrors is on the right track, as this opening salvo fully understands and utilizes the horror aesthetic with big superhero ramifications.
