The Gotham panel at SDCC 2023 revealed new details for stories surrounding the world of Batman and Gotham. That includes a new story arc titled Batman: Outlaw in Detective Comics and a new series announcement for Outsiders. The new series will be written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing.
The panel featured creators Tom King, Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Ram V, Tini Howard, and Belén Ortega.
Described as an “intermezzo” and planned for October, Detective Comics #1076 will kick off a four-issue arc called “Batman: Outlaw.” Batman: Outlaw will feature artists Dustin Nguyen and Jason Scott Alexander with a “Western theme” featuring a group of cowboys having to save the Dark Knight. Written by Ram V, the writer also revealed he has signed an exclusive contract with DC Comics.
Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing introduced their concept for Outsiders, which will spin out of Gotham War. The series will feature art by Robert Carey with a cover that reveals Batwoman and Luke Fox will be appearing. Outsiders will launch in November.
