Marvel announces ‘Resurrection of Magneto’ for NYCC 2023

Marvel Comics was on a tear today announcing the “end of the Krakoan Age” and Avengers: Twilight, but did you hear about the Resurrection of Magneto? As revealed on Marvel.com, Al Ewing and Luciano Vecchio will bring Magneto home to the X-Men.

This is big news for Magneto fans who watched their beloved character die in X-Men: Red #7. Magneto had his heart ripped out fighting with Storm against Thanos’ great-uncle Uranos in X-Men: Red #5, but lived long enough to say his goodbyes by pumping his own blood. We all knew he’d come back eventually–you can’t kill the greats forever–but most didn’t anticipate his return so swiftly.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

As was revealed in previous press teasers, we won’t have to wait too long as the teaser promises more details at New York Comic Con on October 14th at the Next Big Thing panel. Stay tuned to AIPT as we’ll have a reporter in the room covering the panel.

Check out the teaser below.
