On Friday during Hasbro’s Pulse Con livestream, the Star Wars team revealed new offerings for their Vintage Collection and Black Series toylines. The reaction was a bit negative. I didn’t feel as strongly as Yakface.com did…

…but that probably has to do more with me being primarily a 3.75″ scale collector. To say that 6″ Black Series collectors got the short end of the stick would be a massive understatement. We’ll kick things off with those reveals first. Both of these figures will retail for $24.99 and care currently available for preorder with an expected arrival this winter.
Special thanks to @preterniadotcom for being on the ball as usual with live-stream screencaps to help fill the gaps when promo photos aren’t available.
Baylan Skoll
Maybe I’ve gotten too spoiled with the face-printing technology, but this figure just doesn’t resemble Ray Stephens enough for me to buy it.
Shin Hati
Once again, a great-looking figure that just doesn’t look enough like the actor (Ivanna Sakhno) portraying the character.
Pipeline Reveals

- Darth Vader (A New Hope): I’ve learned not to doubt how good it can/will be when Hasbro updates their Darth Vader figures.
- Din Djarin (The Mandalorian Season 3): Meh.
- Phase 1 Clone Trooper: Could be meh, but could also be a worthy update.
- Mandalorian Night Owl: Intriguing…
Now let’s take a look at the Vintage Collection offerings. All of these will retail for $16.99 and are currently available for preorder. The solicitations have them arriving this fall or Spring 2024, but I just ordered three and they are all scheduled to hit my doorstep in early January.
Chopper (Ahsoka)
Something about the swiveling head makes the $16.99 price tag hurt a lot less. That being said, you’re going to have a hard time convincing me not to buy such a good-looking Chopper figure in this scale.
Huyang (Ahsoka)
I wish he were shinier, but otherwise, this is a must-buy.
Director Orson Krennic (Rogue One)
FINALLY!
The long-awaited figure looks just as wonderful as we’d hoped. Now everyone can put a proper (and outstanding) Orson Krennic on their toy shelves to replace that 5-POS POA one.
This next offering is also currently available for preorder (with an expected arrival this fall), but will set you back a whopping $40.
Jedi Knight Revan and HK47
As good as both these figures look (especially Revan), I am not shelling out $20 for them. At some point, Hasbro has to realize that putting two individually carded figures into one big box does not justify a $4 upcharge.
Also, as someone who really doesn’t care about packaging, I’m still confused/annoyed at the Galaxy of Heroes designation for this set.

- Cal Ketsis (Imperial Officer Disguise): Nice.
- Mandalorian Judge: Who?
- Phase II Clone Trooper 4-pack: If these have the updated clone trooper body then I’m going to be very happy.
