They Make Horror Fun
The creators of Queer Eye are hoping to bring that same energy into the supernatural with their latest series, Living for the Dead. Five queer ghost hunters travel the United States to investigate some of the most notoriously haunted places.
The team consists of skilled specialists including a medium, a researcher, a witch and more. Together, they try to get to the bottom of each spooky location, but more importantly, they help the living move on.
Stream the entire first season of Living and the Dead beginning Wednesday, October 18, on Hulu.
Escape or Die
Scavengers Reign is a sci-fi animated series from Joseph Bennet and Charles Huettner. It expands upon the story from the pair’s animated short film, Scavengers, which was released in 2016.
We follow survivors from a damaged space freighter who become stranded on picturesque planet that is unspoiled by human interference. However, dangers lurk around every corner and they must find their downed vessel and fellow crewmates if they have any chances of escaping.
The first three episodes of Scavengers Reign debut Thursday, October 19, on Max.
The Ubisoft Suicide Squad
Adi Shankar has done well developing popular video game based animated series for Netflix. He began with Castlevania, and is now turning towards properties from Ubisoft for his latest project.
Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is based on the first-person shooter Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. However, its story also includes aspects from other Ubisoft franchises including Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, Rayman, and more. A super soldier named Dolph Laserhawk goes rogue and is placed in a black site high security prison. While there, he is forced onto a team of other inmates to carryout secret operations or risk having a bomb implanted in their brain go off.
Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix releases Thursday, October 19, on Netflix.
