WWE Raw preview, full card: October 16, 2023

The season premiere of Monday Night Raw promises to deliver in a big way.

WWE Raw presents its season premiere tonight live from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! A season premiere demands a big show, and tonight’s episode fits the bill on paper, as two championships will be on the line. Newly-appointed Raw General Manager Adam Pearce will have his hands full. Let’s take a look at everything announced for tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw:

WWE Monday Night Raw card: October 16, 2023

Rhea Ripley vs. Shayna Baszler

WWE Raw preview, full card: October 16, 2023

WWE’s official preview:

Shayna Baszler has been itching to get back into the Women’s World title picture, and she can do just that when she takes on Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in a non-title match next week.

This past week, Baszler and Ripley interrupted Raquel Rodriguez’s match with Nia Jax, with Baszler standing tall in the aftermath and staring down Ripley.

Can Baszler get closer to a title opportunity against The Eradicator?

Richochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Falls Count Anywhere Match)

WWE Raw preview, full card: October 16, 2023

WWE’s official preview:

On the Season Premiere of Raw, Ricochet will take on Shinsuke Nakamura in a brutal Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Three weeks ago, Ricochet was assaulted by Nakamura and spent some time on the shelf before returning to Raw this past week, looking for payback.

The One and Only found some retribution by attacking Nakamura backstage. However, Nakamura would retaliate, blindsiding Ricochet before his Triple Threat Match for an Intercontinental Title opportunity.

Nakamura is also looking to get back on the right track after falling short in a Last Man Standing Match against World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins at WWE Fastlane.

Who will emerge victorious when the two aim to destroy each other in a Falls Count Anywhere Match?

Gunther (c) vs. “Big” Bronson Reed for the Intercontinental Championship

WWE Raw preview, full card: October 16, 2023

WWE’s official preview:

“Big” Bronson Reed will finally get the opportunity he’s been seeking when he challenges Intercontinental Champion Gunther on the Raw Season Premiere.

Reed has been on a roll, racking up some big wins before emerging victorious over Chad Gable and Ricochet in a Triple Threat Match this past Raw.

The Ring General is in the middle of a legendary Intercontinental Title reign and has no plans on relinquishing his title.

Can Reed be the one to finally defeat Gunther for the Intercontinental Title?

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso (c) vs. The Judgment Day for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

WWE Raw preview, full card: October 16, 2023

WWE’s official preview:

As if the Season Premiere of Monday Night Raw couldn’t get any bigger, the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Titles will be on the line as Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso engage in WWE Fastlane rematch against the team they dethroned: Finn Bálor and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day.

This past week on Raw, Rhodes and Uso succeeded in their first title defense against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and will look to dispatch The Judgment Day the way they did at WWE Fastlane.

Which team will leave the Raw Season Premiere as champions?
