Check out our latest Channel Surfing TV picks.

From battling street level drug dealers to global threats, our Channel Surfing TV picks follows the heroes on television trying to keep the world safe. Detectives Wazowski and Duff patrol the streets of Toronto in a new season of Pretty Hard Cases. Las Vegas is in danger of a terrorist attack in Obliterated. Then, the outcasts of Slough House must rescue one of their own in the third season of Slow Horses.

The War Against Drugs

Pretty Hard Cases is a Canadian police crime dramedy that ran for three seasons. It stars Meredith MacNeill and Adrienne C. Moore in the lead roles of Sam Wazowski and Kelly Duff respectively. Though the final season has already aired up North last winter, the United States release is this week.

In the final season, Wazowski and Duff are reunited after spending eight months apart. When a dangerous new synthetic drug floods the streets of Toronto, the pair must work together to bring down the powerful street gang behind the narcotic.

Stream the entire third season of Pretty Hard Cases beginning Wednesday, November 29, on Amazon Freevee.

A Blast in Sin City

Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Herald were able to breathe new life into The Karate Kid franchise with Cobra Kai. Now the trio try their luck with a series not based off of a pre-existing intellectual property with Obliterated.

The story follows a special task force comprised of members from different branches of the armed forces. They work together to prevent a terrorist network from setting off a nuclear bomb in Las Vegas. After seemingly stopping the attack, the team hit the town hard to celebrate. Unfortunately, the bomb they defused was a fake, so they must find the real one while pushing through their inebriated states.

The entire first season of Obliterated releases Thursday, November 30, on Netflix.

Misfit Spies

Though the agents at Slough House are meant to be the disgraced outcasts of MI5, the group has proven their worth time and time again. Whether it’s confronting terrorist attacks or Russian sleeper agents, these slow horses are formidable spies.

On the latest season of Slow Horses, the team face another grave threat: a rogue MI5 team. Not only that, but their office administrator, Catherine Standish, has been abducted. New additions to the cast include Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù who plays Sean Donovan, the former head of security at the British embassy in Istanbul, and Katherine Waterston who plays Alison Dunn, an MI5 agent who uncovers a dark secret at the heart of the agency.

The first two episodes from Slow Horses season three drop Friday, December 1, on Apple TV+.
