AIPT Television podcast episode 41: The non-sports side of Super Bowl LVIII

AIPT’s Content and Media Manager, David Brooke, joins the AIPT Television podcast as we discuss the commercials, half time show, and Nickelodeon broadcast of Super Bowl LVIII.

The AIPT Television podcast returns to talk about one of the biggest events of the year: the Super Bowl. Super Bowl LVIII saw a tense battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers that went into overtime. But we’re not here to discuss that.

Some of the biggest attractions of the Super Bowl are unrelated to the game. It is the one time of year people actually tune in to watch the commercials. These 30 second spots lead to water cooler talk usually regarding the buzzworthy humor and appearances of entertainment’s biggest stars. Then, there is the Half Time Show featuring a musical spectacle with talented acts. This year, there was even a special Nickelodeon broadcast catered to younger audiences taking viewers and Allegiant Stadium to Bikini Bottom for a SpongeBob Square Pants themed presentation. Our very own, David Brooke, joins us to reflect on the non-sports side of the Super Bowl.
