‘The One Hand’ #1 sells out and gets second printing

Check out ‘The One Hand’ #1 second printing cover.

The One Hand by Ram V and Laurence Campbell is a hit! The series has sold out at the distributor level, and Image Comics will rush it back to print this week in order to keep up with escalating reorder activity.

“It’s been a joy to see reactions from people experiencing the comic for the first time and to see retailers championing the book,” said Ram V. “I’m thrilled that even more readers will have a chance to pick up Issue #1 and experience the mysteries, questions and twists that The One Hand #1 has to offer before they read The Six Fingers #1 and have their brains tickled all over again!”

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

It’s an issue I said is “An extremely dark, melancholic, and violent mystery, smartly blending sci-fi and horror.” It’s part of a crossover with The Six Fingers, which launches February 21st. Check out my review of that here.

Check out the second printing cover below.

PORTLAND, Ore. 02/15/2024 — The debut issue of The One Hand by writer Ram V (The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, Swamp Thing), artist Laurence Campbell (Old Haunts, BPRD: Hell on Earth), and colorist Lee Loughridge (Deadly Class) has hit big with readers who were instantly gripped by this brand new, procedural crime caper. This premier issue has sold out completely at the distributor level and Image Comics will rush it back to print this week in order to keep up with escalating reorder activity.

The One Hand #1 reprint will showcase haunting new cover art by Campbell.

Campbell added: “The reaction to the first issue of The One Hand has been great to see. Thanks to everyone who picked it up and the retailers who ordered the book. It’s been a pleasure to create a new cover for the second printing. New readers will be able to get on at the ground level with this reprinting before investigating The Six Fingers.”

In The One Hand, Neo Novena detective Ari Nasser is about to retire with an enviable record, until a brutal murder occurs, bearing all the hallmarks of the “One Hand Killer”…which should be impossible, since Ari already put him away—not once, but twice—in the years before.

What follows is a deadly cat-and-mouse game as Ari pursues his quarry down the rain-soaked streets of Neo Novena. Ari will stop at nothing to unravel the secrets and ciphers of this case, but each revelation only leads further into the dark heart of his future-metropolis and Ari’s own beleaguered soul.

The One Hand readers will also want to pick up its sister series The Six Fingers by Dan Watters and Sumit Kumar, which hits shelves next week.

The One Hand #1, second printing (Lunar Code 0124IM863) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, March 13.

The One Hand is also available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
