Gail Simone, awesome writer we’ve come to love over the years and likely one of the main X-Men writers in the new era kicking off in July has joined the CBR message boards. It’s not confirmed she’s writing X-Men, but she is writing the X-Men story in a FCBD comic this May.
In a message posted in an X-Men thread, “ROGUE AND KATE PRYDE WILL EACH LEAD THE NEW X-MEN TEAMS THIS SUMMER — FROM BC,” Simone said she’d like to communicate with fans on the boards specifically rather than social media.
To kick things off, Simone–going by ComixGail–listed off two major points:
1) I don’t take offense at this stuff, you can do your very best and some people will still genuinely not like it, it’s a bummer because you want people to feel like they got their money’s worth, you know? But it’s going to happen every time, and that is okay.
2) I wonder if I should maybe instead just start a thread people can post on and ask questions or whatever, without interrupting the flow in threads like these?
