‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol’ sneak peak: An ambush gone awry and tracking a dear friend

Carol returns full time on the new season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol.

Though the flagship series ended back in 2022, The Walking Dead Universe carries on focusing on the exploits of its popular characters. With The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live ending last night, AMC is already looking ahead to the next release from the franchise.

A new sneak peek of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol debuted during the series premiere of the crime drama Parish. In the clip we look at life on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. On one side, Daryl’s conflict with the French based paramilitary group Pouvoir des Vivants continues with our hero ambushing a caravan to rescue some prisoners.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Carol is still on the trail of her best friend and follows her leads  to the zombie hunter camp responsible for shipping Daryl to France in the first place. She’s a woman on a mission and is ready to step into the lion’s dead to end her search.

Check out the official description and the sneak peek below.

The new season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest.

The series stars Reedus, McBride, Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney, and is executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman and Steve Squillante.

There is no exact release date but The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol will arrive this summer on AMC
