This week’s Channel Surfing TV picks include a murderous children’s doll, a retro futuristic post-apocalyptic world, and a historical drama. Chucky returns to finish off its third season. The Fallout video game series inspires a new show. Then follow along one of America’s founding fathers during an important time for the country in Franklin

The GOAT of Killing

When we last left Chucky, the possessed kid’s toy brought his path of violence to the White House. Though he racked up a considerable body count, Chucky finds himself rapidly aging. Are his days numbered?

In his deteriorating state, he begins to reflect on his life. Chucky wants to go out on top and be known as the greatest serial killer ever. That just makes the job of Jake, Devon, and Lexy that much harder protecting innocent victims, and they must extract the information regarding Lexy’s missing sister from Chucky before he dies.

Chucky season three part two begins Wednesday, April 10, on Syfy and USA Network.

Into the Wasteland

Fallout takes place in an alternative history where a nuclear war decimates the world. Some lucky survivors were able to find refuge in bunkers known as Vaults where humanity could survive until the surface was free from radiation.

The show based on the popular video game franchise takes place over 200 years after the nuclear war. A young woman leaves the safety of her Vault and discovers that society endured despite the catastrophic events of the past. However, it may not be as idyllic as where she came from, and she needs to adapt or risk dying from the various dangers.

Stream the entire first season of Fallout beginning Thursday, April 11, on Prime Video.

An American Legend

Benjamin Franklin was one of the most famous early Americans, even surpassing presidents. His contributions are the stuff of legend including the tall tale of how he discovered electricity. What sometimes get lost are his more serious deeds.

Franklin is based on the book A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America from Pulitzer Prize winning author, Stacy Schiff. It covers the eight years the founding father spent in France trying to convince its leaders to help the fight against the British.

The first three episodes of Franklin will launch Friday, April 12, on Apple TV+.
