BOOM! to release restored original ‘Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal’ series – exclusive

‘Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal’ is restored and ready to hit shelves summer 2024.

Courtesy of BOOM!, AIPT can announce the classic three issue 1983 comic book adaptation of Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal from writer David Anthony Kraft (The Savage She-Hulk) and artists Bret Blevins & Vince Colletta is getting a restored version and returning to print as part of the BOOM! Studios Archive Edition line. Available in comic shops on July 3, 2024.

So what’s Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal about?

A thousand years ago. The planet Thra. Two new races appeared when a Shard was shattered from the Crystal of Truth: the cruel Skeksis, who use continued corruption of the Crystal to extend their lives, and the gentle urRu, more commonly known as Mystics, who make their home in the Valley of Stones to await their destiny.

A young orphaned Gelfling named Jen is sent on a quest to heal the Crystal…but enemies aren’t all he’ll find in the wild.

Studios Archive Edition line!
