Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn, made her Marvel Cinematic Universe in the series WandaVision. Harkness will soon feature in her very own show entitled Agatha All Along. A new trailer was shown at this year’s D23 Expo to provide more insight on what fans can expect. The official description can be found below.
In Marvel Studios’ “Agatha All Along,” the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…
As much as Harkness brings together her coven, it seems she’s still in it for herself. They are just and ends to a means in order for her to make it to the end. The vocals of the show’s theme song, “The Ballad of Witches Road,” played throughout the video really enhance the haunting vibe.
The series stars Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer, who also serves as head writer and directed three episodes. Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Monteiro direct three episodes each.
The two-episode premiere of Agatha All Along is September 18 on Disney+.
