Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was first announced at Star Wars Celebration 2022, and it is set to be the next live-action series from the franchise. At this year’s D23 Expo, the public received their first look at the show when the trailer was revealed.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place roughly around the same time as The Mandalorian. It is a coming of age story that follows four youths who make a discovery on their safe, very suburban looking, home planet that will change their lives. Soon, they find themselves on an adventure across the galaxy meeting friends and foes alike.
Jude Law plays one such mysterious character that crosses their path named Jod Na Nawood. If you watch the trailer all the way to the end, you’ll find out why Na Nawood is so special. Check out the video below.
In addition to Law, the series stars Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon and Nick Frost. Episodes are directed by Jon Watts, David Lowery, the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chung. Christopher Ford, Jon Watts, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson serve as executive producers.
The two-episode series premiere of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew begins streaming December 3, 2024 on Disney+.
