This Labor Day marks another installment of our Channel Surfing TV picks. Two of competitive eating’s heavyweights go head to head in Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef. Two popular franchises come together in LEGO Pixar: BrickToons. Then, two guys search for purpose in a world that no longer needs them in Universal Basic Guys.
One True Champion
This past year, the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest ran as usual on July 4. However, there were two noticeable omissions in the field. Takeru Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut were unable to compete due to contractual disputes with Major League Eating, who sanction the iconic event.
Well, we just had to wait an extra two months to see these heavyweights go at it. On Labor Day, both will compete against each other to determine the ultimate hot-dog-eating champion in a special sporting event dubbed Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef.
Stream Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef beginning this afternoon on Netflix.
Getting LEGOized
Pixar is responsible for some of the most beloved cinematic stories of all time. But how can you make their iconic characters even more wholesome? Why, animating them in LEGO brick form.
LEGO Pixar: BrickToons is a brand new series of shorts featuring some fan favorites. See what kind of new adventures Miguel from Coco, Merida from Brave, the Parr family from The Incredibles and more are up to.
Stream all episodes of LEGO Pixar: BrickToons beginning Wednesday, September 4, on Disney+.
