Nick Dragotta teases the Absolute Batmobile’s next epic form

Nick Dragotta hints at a surprising evolution for the Batmobile.

Today, artist Nick Dragotta revealed on Threads that the Absolute Batmobile is based on an earth mover, specifically the Caterpillar 777. That’s not all; he revealed what we’ve seen so far isn’t even its final form.

That begs the question, what other forms could it take on?

The Dragotta sketch also revealed that the body lowers, likely so it can push heavy objects with a lower center of gravity.

So, what other form could it take? Some fans might think of some kind of mech or robot, or maybe it turns into a plane, but I beg to differ. A plane would be too heavy with all that metal, and the general design and look don’t suit a mech. No, I think it might turn into a siege tower.

Think of it this way: if Batman is all about blunt force strategy when fighting, why not get a little higher to allow him to infiltrate buildings or get over walls? Plus, he has an ax to lay mayhem on anyone on the other side of the bridge.

What do you think its final form might be? Either way, Absolute Batman has been a blast and a half.
