‘Marvel’s What If…?’ season 3 teases new Goddess of Thunder, an Avenger Megazord, and more

Marvel’s What If…? season 3 arrives December 22, 2024.

We received a brief look at Marvel’s What If…? right before Halloween during the Marvel Television “Look Ahead” teaser. Today, the official trailer dropped for the third and final season of the animated series.

Season three looks to traverse new genres, bigger spectacles, and incredible new characters. Watch your favorite heroes and villains from the MCU, but with a slight twist. Expect to see Captain America/Sam Wilson, The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, Hulk/Bruce Banner, The Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, Agatha Harkness, Shang-Chi, Storm the Goddess of Thunder, and numerous others. You read that last name right. Storm the Goddess of Thunder. Just another sign that Mutants are arriving.

Storm isn’t the only interesting thing to come out of the trailer. It seems we have a Western themed team up between Kate Bishop and Shang Chi, an Avenger Mega-zord, angry Watchers, and more.

The last episodes of Marvel’s What If…? are directed directed by Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck and are written by Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little, and A.C. Bradley. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Andrews serve as executive producers with co-executive producer Matthew Chauncey, and producers Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar, and Alex Scharf.

Marvel’s What If…? season three premieres December 22, 2024 on Disney+.
