The success of Inside Out 2 shows that people are still invested and interested in the world. A new animated spinoff series, Dream Productions, is launching on Disney+ in a few weeks. Instead of exploring emotions, the show features the area of Riley’s mind responsible for dreams.
Dream Productions takes place in between the two films. It follows director Paula Persimmon (voiced by Paula Pell) as she faces her very own nightmare when paired with a smug daydream director named Xeni (voiced by Richard Ayoade), who is trying to break into big leagues of night dreaming. Together, they must create the next big hit dream. We have the trailer for the mockumentary style show below.
Other voice actors appearing are Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. Mike Jones serves as writer and director with Jaclyn Simon as producer. The score is composed by Nami Melumad, and if you dig the music, the soundtrack will release on all streaming services beginning December 20.
Dream Productions premieres December 11 on Disney+.
