With What If…? ending today, it’s time to get ready for what Marvel has cooking up next for Disney+ viewers. The trailer of the upcoming Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man recently dropped.
The 10-episode original animated series goes back to when Peter Parker begins his superhero adventure. Though it takes place in the present, the artistic style pays tribute to the character’s early comic roots.
Those nods to the past are evident with the original 1960s theme song playing in the opening. Things take a modern turn with a remix incorporating hip hop influences. We witness Parker’s awkward dorkiness along with an encounter with Harry Osborn. If the trailer is any indication, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has some great fun vibes.
The voice cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox. Jeff Trammell serves as Head Writer with Mel Zwyer as supervising director. The executive producers include Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt and Trammell.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man launches January 29, 2025 on Disney+.
