‘I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer’ announced for April 2025

‘”This may be the craziest, most quirky serial killer book Daniel and I have done yet,’ said Doug Wagner.

Image Comics has revealed the creative team behind Plastic, Plush, and Vinyl—Doug Wagner & Daniel Hillyard—will reteam for an all-new, campy horror story in the upcoming I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer. The first issue drops into comic shops on April 2nd in a five-issue series.

“This may be the craziest, most quirky serial killer book Daniel and I have done yet,” said Wagner. “We had the time of our lives working on this one. During our calls, there was way too much of drinks shooting out noses and asking, ‘Can we get away with that?’ We tend to think of those as signs that we’re on the right path.”

Read up on Plush in our interview with the creative team.

So what’s I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer about?

Rennie Bethary has just been accepted into New York City’s most prestigious fashion school. Her designs are daring, edgy, and singular…and made of human flesh. Did we forget to mention Rennie is a serial killer who simply wants to be a fashion designer instead? Stupid, pesky, murderous urges!
