Our newest Channel Surfing TV picks include a trio of returning series. A saga that began in the 80s comes to an end with Cobra Kai season six part three. Continue the story of a high school girls soccer team as they survived in the wilderness and how those experiences still affect them 25 years later in Yellowjackets. Then, check into a new resort in The White Lotus season three.
Back to the Valley
When we last left Cobra Kai, tempers were flaring at the Sekai Taikai, a prestigious international karate tournament. Things got out of hand, and a death occurred in the resulting mayhem. We were left waiting for the aftermath.
In the third part of the last season, the issues with Miyagi-Do’s rivals at Cobra Kai and the Iron Dragons will finally be resolved. It appears in the trailer, the Sekai Taikai will resume moving from Barcelona, Spain to the same venue where the All Valley Karate Tournament is held bringing both Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence’s journeys full circle.
Stream Cobra Kai season six part three beginning Thursday, February 13, on Netflix.
Succumbing to Old Habits
Over the course of two seasons, we discovered the lengths that the Yellowjackets high school soccer team went to to survive while lost in the Canadian wilderness. We also saw that some of the survivors wanted to resort to some of those means 25 years later as adults.
The new season will take place in the past following the difficult winter. The warmer summer weather only further fuels the distrust in the current leadership and the resulting tension could jeopardize their chance at rescue (Obviously not, since we also see them as adults). Meanwhile, in the present, the dark secrets from when the survivors were teens begin to come to the surface as the ladies prevent their lives and themselves from unraveling.
The two-episode season three premiere of Yellowjackets drops Friday, February 14, on Paramount+, and airs linearly on Sunday, February 16, on Showtime.
Staying in Paradise
It’s time to check into another of The White Lotus’s famed resorts for some relaxation and a lot of drama. Season three, which consists of eight episodes, takes place in Thailand over a course of a week.
