Marvel Comics has announced Cavan Scott and Stefano Nesi are launching a new five-issue Gwenpool series in May. Dubbed a more darker and deadlier version of the character, the series marks the Marvel Comics debut of artist Stefano Nesi, known for his acclaimed recent work on Batman. This series is also the very same one teased last week involving Gwen Stacy’s grave.
On the bold decision to resurrect Gwen, Scott said, “What an absolute honor! To tear both Gwenpool AND Spider-Man’s worlds apart? Yes please! Gwen Stacy is back from the grave and deadlier than ever. Weapon-X style abilities? Check. A line in killer put-downs? You’ve got it. This is NOT the Gwen you remember. But just who is behind her miraculous resurrection?
