Best comics of the weeks: March 5, 2025
Monkey Meat: The Summer Batch #1
Juni Ba continues to push the boundaries of comics with Monkey Meat: The Summer Batch #1, delivering a vibrant, subversive, and wildly imaginative take on everything from corporate greed to superhero legacies. It’s a mind-melting must-read!

#4: Two-Face #4
Get ready for a courtroom showdown like you’ve never seen before as Two-Face summons Harvey Dent. Two-Face #4 is a twist on self-reflection as writer Christian Ward delivers with a wild script that digs deeper into the childhood of Harvey Dent and how much of an impact his parents had on shaping the “men” he would become. The art team of Fábio Veras and Ivan Plascencia makes this issue even more surreal as they take you on quite the head trip. This is one of Two-Face’s most extraordinary comic appearances.

#3: Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #6
Marc is back with a better head on his shoulders and ready to take on Fairchild with his friends. MacKay and co. continue to deliver a Moon Knight book that keeps me wanting to come back for more. I’m ready to sit back and watch Moon Knight and his crew get some violent revenge.

#2: NYX #9
Charles Xavier has come to crash the party in NYX #9, and his bad vibes bring about the perfect opportunity for Mojo to strike. Part crossover story, part series’ near-finale, the whole issue coalesces into a long hard look at Xavier. Professor X’s best days inspired mutants to build communities like NYX, but the man has been rotting from the inside out for a long time–and no, I’m not referring to the tumor retcon. The mutants of NYX have weathered Xavier’s latest betrayal, but none of that matters if they can’t put a stop to Mojo’s endgame.

#1: Batgirl #5
Clearly with how much I had to say, it’s a safe assumption that Batgirl #5 is as solid as they come. I really do love this run, and I’m honestly just excited and thrilled to be able to keep reading and reviewing it, for however long it manages to last. Keep up the good work, team, you’re doing perfectly.
