Battle.net DDoS attack affecting Overwatch, World of Warcraft and more

Blizzard’s Battle.net service is undergoing a DDoS attack for the second time this week.

Blizzard’s Battle.net service is undergoing a DDoS attack for the second time this week, as players are reporting disconnections, high latency, and more issues playing games like OverwatchWorld of Warcraft, and more that rely on Battle.net’s servers.

Players began reporting issues logging in and staying logged into games at around 1:00pm ET. At approximately 4:00pm ET, Blizzard acknowledged the issue is in fact a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.

But for now, if you’re trying to rank up in Overwatch 2 competitive, or complete your Mythic+ dungeons for the week to gear up in the second week of The War Within season 2, know you’re not alone in having issues connecting or playing content in Blizzard games right now.

We will update this article as more information becomes available.
