Marvel launches ‘Fantastic Four Bookazine’, blending comics, film, and history

Discover a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, in theaters July 25.

Marvel is bringing its iconic heroes back to newsstands just in time for Independence Day. On July 4, MARVEL COMICS: THE FANTASTIC FOUR, a new bookazine combining classic comics, behind-the-scenes content, and deep dives into Marvel lore, will be available wherever magazines are sold, thanks to a collaboration with Dotdash Meredith.

This special edition is the ultimate primer on Marvel’s First Family, featuring an illustrated retelling of their origin by legendary artist Alex Ross, plus exclusive looks at Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Readers will also find interviews with key creatives, including Executive Producer Grant Curtis and Visual Development Creative Director Ryan Meinerding.

To help fans jump into the action, the bookazine includes three complete issues from major Fantastic Four runs:

  • Fantastic Four #60 (2002) by Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo

  • Fantastic Four #570 (2009) by Jonathan Hickman and Dale Eaglesham

  • Fantastic Four #1 (2022) by Ryan North and Iban Coello

Each print copy comes with a bonus code unlocking over $30 in free digital comics via the Marvel Unlimited app, giving readers a chance to continue each story at no extra cost. The app hosts over 30,000 comics and is available on iOS, Android, and web.

The Fantastic Four bookazine will be available in two collectible covers—Cover A by Arthur Adams and Christina Strain, and Cover B by Phil Noto—each celebrating the team’s 60+ year legacy.

Whether you’re new to the Fantastic Four or looking to revisit classic moments before The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, this bookazine is your gateway into the Marvel Universe. Grab a copy at your local newsstand, bookstore, or on Amazon.
