A star-studded panel honoring the legacy of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz is coming to San Diego Comic-Con this month, bringing together some of the biggest names in comics and publishing. The event will spotlight the upcoming release of The Essential Peanuts, a definitive collection curated by Mark Evanier, set to release from Abrams ComicArts this October.
Joining Evanier on the panel are acclaimed graphic designer Chip Kidd, Paige Braddock (Creative Director Emeritus at Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates), and Alexis E. Fajardo (Editorial Director of Publishing & Experiences at the same studio). The conversation will be moderated by Charles Kochman, Editor-in-Chief at Abrams ComicArts.
Titled The Essential Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz: The Greatest Comic Strip of All Time, the panel promises a thoughtful dive into Schulz’s creative genius, the cultural impact of Peanuts, and a behind-the-scenes look at rare artwork included in the new volume. Attendees will also get an exclusive first preview of the anniversary edition.
