Comixology and Kindle bring color, comics, and creator events to SDCC 2025

Comixology and Kindle are spotlighting the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, a new color display device designed to make digital comics.

Comixology is back on the main floor at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, and this time, they’re teaming up with Kindle to deliver an even more vibrant comics experience. Located at booth #1935, the duo is spotlighting the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, a new color display device designed to make digital comics look better than ever.

Headlining their presence this year is the Comixology x Kindle Colorsoft Scavenger Hunt—an interactive quest across the convention floor that invites fans to visit publisher booths (including BOOM! Studios, Dark Horse, Image, Fantagraphics, Kodansha, and many more). At each stop, attendees can scan a special QR code to unlock free digital comics, exclusive discounts, and the chance to win a Kindle Colorsoft.

“We’re excited to launch our first in-person scavenger hunt alongside our publishing partners,” said Comixology GM and CTO Jeff DiBartolomeo. “This is a celebration of comics, reading, and the huge range of stories available on Comixology and Kindle.”

Here’s what to look for at booth #1935:

  • Scavenger Hunt: Visit publisher booths, scan QR codes, and earn prizes—including comics and Kindle giveaways.

  • “Gumball” Machine: Spin for a capsule containing a free enamel pin, a digital comic QR code, and maybe even win a Kindle Colorsoft on the spot.

  • Demo Stations: Try out the Kindle Colorsoft and see how your favorite comics come to life in full color.

  • Panels: Hear from comics creators including Scott Snyder, Tula Lotay, Thomas Jane, Taki Soma, and more. Don’t miss the color-themed panel “The Art of Color,” featuring colorist Lee Loughridge and celebrity baker Kim-Joy.

  • Creator Signings: Meet fan-favorite writers and artists throughout the weekend.

  • Live Drawing Sessions: Watch artists like Tula Lotay and Michael Avon Oeming draw live and maybe take home an original sketch.

  • Giveaways: Pick up exclusive posters during signings—while supplies last!

Comixology is also a sponsor of the 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, taking place Friday, July 25, at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel.
