John J. Muth’s award-winning and best-selling Zen book series has received an animated adaptation that has run for three seasons. Stillwater is a family based show that follows a wise panda who teaches his neighbors who are three young siblings about mindfulness while also helping them gain a deeper understanding of their feelings.
Ahead of the season four premiere, we bring to you an exclusive clip entitled “Listen Better.” It features a conversation between Stillwater the panda and several children about the power of listening and building confidence. The clip provides a thoughtful and mature conversation that is reflective of the series’ emotional depth as a whole.
The adorable and moving show is a great family watch with its low stimulation styles and storytelling that is pertinent to today’s world. It has also achieved similar critical success as the source material earning both Peabody and Daytime Emmy Awards.
Stillwater has quite the creative team behind it. It was produced in collaboration with awareness and intention expert Mallika Chopra, author of Buddha and The Rose and the Just Be series for kids, and CEO of Chopra Global, through Apple TV+’s changemakers initiative.
Gaumont and Scholastic Entertainment also produce with Sidonie Dumas; Nicolas Atlan; Terry Kalagian; Iole Lucchese; Caitlin Friedman; Jef Kaminsky; Jun Falkenstein; and Rob Hoegee serving as executive producers. In addition, the series features voice actors James Sie, Eva Ariel Binder, Tucker Chandler and Judah Mackey.
Stillwater season four premieres Friday, August 1, on Apple TV+.
