Marvel unveils 'Toy Story' homage covers to celebrate 30 years of Pixar’s iconic film • AIPT

Marvel Comics is joining the celebration of Toy Story’s 30th anniversary with a playful twist: a trio of Toy Story Homage Variant Covers, hitting shelves this November. Featuring art by longtime Disney comics artist Marco Forcelloni and illustrator Nicky Nicotera, these covers reimagine classic Marvel moments through the lens of Pixar’s beloved characters.

Each variant brings a dose of nostalgia and whimsy as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Hamm, and the rest of Andy’s toybox crew step into the roles of Marvel legends. Woody leads the charge in a tribute to Avengers #4, assembling his team just like Captain America did. In a nod to Amazing Fantasy #15, Woody swings into action as a web-slinging sheriff who knows that with great responsibility comes no toy left behind. Meanwhile, Buzz Lightyear suits up for a cosmic mission in a cover inspired by Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #6.

These first-of-their-kind variants combine the adventurous spirit of Toy Story with the timeless iconography of Marvel Comics—making them a must-have for both superhero fans and Disney collectors.

This isn’t the first time Marvel has done a crossover with cover art with Disney.
