Marvel unveils Inhyuk Lee’s ‘Street-Verse Variants’, reimagining heroes in futuristic techwear

Inhyuk Lee blends superhero style with cutting-edge fashion in Marvel’s new Street-Verse Variant Covers, hitting shelves this November.

Unveiled to retailers during San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has tapped best-selling artist Inhyuk Lee for a bold new line of STREET-VERSE VARIANT COVERS, reimagining iconic Marvel characters in sleek, techwear-inspired fashion, hitting select issues this November, including the launch of a yet-to-be-announced title.

Known for his striking digital illustrations and flair for fashion, Lee merges superhero iconography with futuristic, functional design, delivering stylish new looks for fan-favorites like Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and even Doctor Doom.

“I was honored to create the Street-Verse Variant Covers for Marvel,” Lee shared. “I started my career as a character designer at a game company 20 years ago, so I’m familiar with and enjoy designing characters and I’m interested in modern and practical design, so I was always drawn to techwear. Since the winter of 2021, I’ve been working on a personal project redesigning Spider-Man characters’ costumes in a modernized way. I’ve called it ‘Who is next?’ Marvel saw the series and approached me with this cover and mural project.”

Now celebrating his 13th year with Marvel, Lee added, “It’s always a joy to collaborate with a publisher that understands my strengths.”
