Created by Tynion (Something is Killing the Children, The Nice House on the Lake) and Brombal (House of Slaughter, Batgirl), with art by Goodhart (Batgirl, Constantine: Distorted Illusions), colors by Miquel Muerto (Something is Killing the Children), and letters by Aditya Bidikar (Dawnrunner), the story follows teenage mad scientist Christopher Chaos, whose genius isolates him from those around him. Haunted by guilt and loneliness, his life takes a strange turn when a crush at school reveals himself to be a deadly creature, drawing Christopher into a hidden world of monsters, unlikely heroes, and relentless hunters.
As Christopher learns more about the history of Monsterkind, he discovers that he’s not as alone as he thought, but the answers he finds raise even more questions about his past and the darker side of his own abilities.
The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos Library Edition Volume 1 (360 pages, 8” x 12.1875” hardcover, $59.99) arrives March 10, 2026, in bookstores and March 11 in comic shops. Pre-orders are now open through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and local comic shops.
