‘TMNT’ #13 kicks off a new era with Blind Bag Variants and a deadly new villain

This December marks the start of a bold new chapter for the best-selling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ongoing series. Eisner Award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang (Superman Smashes the Klan, American Born Chinese, Avatar: The Last Airbender) teams up with fan-favorite artist Freddie E. Williams II (Batman/TMNT, Godzilla vs. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) for issue #13, kicking off a fresh storyline just in time for the holidays. To make it even more special, IDW has gathered an all-star roster of artists to create a dazzling lineup of covers that are perfect for gifting—or collecting.

To celebrate the milestone, IDW is offering a special blind bag variant, giving fans the thrill of surprise with every purchase. Inside, collectors will find one of the main covers or one of several rare exclusives only available through the blind bag.

The comic book variant blind bag concept is all the rage it seems these days, with DC Comics and Marvel Comics going in on it after the hugely successful Battle Beast #1 blind bag.
