Next month, the Massive-Verse collides with Spawnmania as Ryan Parrott, Nick Cotton, and Abel launch a brand-new arc of Rogue Sun. Kicking off in Rogue Sun #30, the issue marks a milestone moment with the arrival of Todd McFarlane’s iconic Medieval Spawn.
The story flashes back to the year 1383, where Sir John of York—better known as the Medieval Spawn—sets out to destroy the terrifying creature called The Withered. But he won’t be the only one on the hunt. Caleb Hawthorne, the fabled Knight Sun, and his squire also join the pursuit, sparking an epic confrontation between two of Image Comics’ most legendary warriors. Can Medieval Spawn finish his mission, or will Knight Sun stand in his path?
“When I first came up with Knight Sun, a medieval version of Rogue Sun, I secretly hoped he might one day cross paths with Medieval Spawn,” said Parrott. “Honestly, I thought it would never happen. But Todd [McFarlane], Thomas [Healy], and everyone at Todd McFarlane Productions were incredible collaborators, and bringing this to life really has been a dream.”
Rogue Sun #30 arrives Wednesday, October 15, featuring covers by Stefano Simeone (Cover A), Abel (Cover B), and an alternate by Simeone (Cover C). The issue will also be available digitally on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
