The final chapter of Briar Rose’s dark and twisted fairy tale is about to begin.
Christopher Cantwell and Germán García’s hit reimagining of Sleeping Beauty, with art by Alex Lins, enters its epic conclusion in Briar: Night’s Terror #1. The series began in September 2022, but all good things must come to an end.
After finally finding a fleeting moment of happiness with Spider in the village of High Scrape, Briar Rose must face one last gauntlet: the deadly Fallswitch Traps, the final barrier to Grendrid’s lair. But the road ahead is more dangerous than ever. With one final spell threatening to restore Grendrid to her full power, Briar and her companions are pushed to their ultimate test.
“I’m proud that we get to take Briar Rose and her band of misfits all the way to the end,” said Cantwell. “This story has been quite literal years in the making. To be able to conclude it with Alex and the entire team is a gift. Briar’s world may be ending in this new chapter, but she sure as hell has something to say about it.”

Briar: Night’s Terror #1 arrives December 3, 2025, featuring a main cover by Lins and variant covers by Filipe Andrade, Morgan Beem, Becky Cloonan, and Tyler Crook. Pre-orders are available now at comic shops, with digital editions offered through Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.
