In Space Scouts, a young girl travels to the center of the universe to compete in a high-stakes reality show where the winner becomes the next “Space Scout.” What begins as an intergalactic teen drama quickly transforms into something darker — as the victorious recruits are sent to the front lines of a secret, never-ending cosmic war.
A Dream Project for Kindt and Rubín
“Space Scouts is a dream project that David and I have had for a long time—getting to tell a story that centers around thousands of teenage superheroes recruited to save the universe,” said Kindt. “It gives us a chance to let our creativity run wild—with different superpowers and aliens all tied to a competition/reality show. As a long-time fan of the crazy 1950s Superboy covers, this scratches that inspirational itch.”
Rubín added, “Working with Matt is always like going to a wild party—exciting, full of surprises, very fun, and at the same time, demanding and hard. He always pushes me to explore new artistic paths, play with storytelling, and grow as an artist.”
