Marvel unveils three cosmic variant covers for ‘Godzilla: Infinity Roar’ #1

This February, Marvel Comics and Toho International unleash GODZILLA: INFINITY ROAR, a new crossover series that sends the King of the Monsters crashing into Marvel’s cosmic arena. First revealed at New York Comic Con last month, the five-issue limited series is written by Gerry Duggan with art by Javier Garrón and Ig Guara. Alongside the announcement, Marvel has unveiled a set of Cosmic Variant Covers for all five issues, each featuring a face-off between a Marvel cosmic powerhouse and a legendary kaiju from Godzilla’s universe.

The story spins directly out of Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, which wrapped up last month. After his defeat by Earth’s heroes, Godzilla is banished to a far-off world—only to be revived by Knull, the God of Symbiotes. With Knull stoking Godzilla’s rage, the two form a terrifying alliance and launch a new bid for galactic domination. As destruction ripples across the stars, the question becomes whether the universe can unite against them—or if this marks the dawn of a far deadlier cosmic age.

To set the stage for Godzilla’s space-spanning rampage, the newly revealed Cosmic Variant Covers spotlight Marvel’s biggest cosmic characters clashing with iconic monsters from the Godzilla mythos. Illustrated by top-tier talent including Paulo Siqueira, Junggeun Yoon, Dave Rapoza, E.J. Su, and Mark Brooks, the covers continue the tradition of bold, imaginative visuals that define Marvel’s event crossovers, giving fans of both franchises plenty to get excited about.
