Marvel has revealed even more about one of the year’s most anticipated launches, announcing new details for DAREDEVIL #1’s TRUE BELIEVERS BLIND BAGS, and unveiling the first full preview of the issue at the same time.
Arriving April 1, DAREDEVIL #1 by acclaimed writer Stephanie Phillips (Phoenix, Planet She-Hulk) and superstar artist Lee Garbett (Death of Doctor Strange, Uncanny Spider-Man) will be just the second Marvel comic ever offered in TRUE BELIEVERS BLIND BAGS, following last month’s Ultimate Endgame #1. Each sealed blind bag contains one mystery version of the issue, giving fans a chance to score anything from standard covers to exclusive variants and even one-of-a-kind original sketch covers.
Alongside today’s blind bag news, Marvel has also released a never-before-seen, fully lettered preview of the issue—giving readers their first extended look at Phillips and Garbett’s bold new take on the Man Without Fear.
More sketch covers revealed
The blind bag program just got even more enticing with the reveal of additional ultra-rare sketch covers from Bill Sienkiewicz, Dan Panosian, Mark Bagley, and Alex Maleev. These hand-drawn originals join the surprise sketch covers fans have already begun discovering in Ultimate Endgame #1 blind bags—making Daredevil #1 one of the most collector-focused launches Marvel has ever attempted.

The newly released preview offers fans their first extended look at Phillips and Garbett’s redefinition of Daredevil. The new run promises a perfect jumping-on point for new readers while honoring the character’s legacy, as Matt Murdock faces unprecedented changes in both his civilian and superhero lives. This time around, Matt returns to school as a law professor, just as a dangerous new villain named Omen emerges with a deeply personal vendetta.
“Lee and I are longtime fans of the character, so you’re absolutely going to get familiar faces and elements of the character that made us fall in love with him,” Phillips told Marvel.com in a recent interview. “But we’re also setting up a new status quo, new characters, and a new entryway for readers to fall in love with Daredevil alongside us. We’re not ignoring any of the previous stories, but we get to start readers off fresh and really develop something that is uniquely ours.”
