Prime Video has officially ordered Lore Olympus, a new adult animated series adapted from the beloved WEBTOON webcomic created by Rachel Smythe. The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Julia Cooperman will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. She’s joined by executive producers David Madden and Sydney Bright from WEBTOON Productions, alongside Aron Levitz. For The Jim Henson Company, Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford executive produce, with Delaney Shiokari serving as executive in charge of production. The project marks The Jim Henson Company’s first-ever adult animated series.
In Lore Olympus, viewers are invited behind the velvet rope of Mount Olympus to see what the gods do after dark—the friendships and betrayals, gossip and wild parties, and the forbidden love at the center of it all. Stylish and immersive, the series reimagines one of mythology’s most enduring tales—The Taking of Persephone—through a bold, modern lens that emphasizes emotional depth and contemporary relevance.
Adapted from one of the most-read webcomics in the world, Lore Olympus boasts more than 1.8 billion global views on WEBTOON, and has built a massive, passionate fanbase thanks to its striking visual identity and character-driven storytelling.
