DC is growing its Elseworlds lineup in 2026 with a fresh wave of alternate-universe stories arriving this summer.
Following early teases tied to the Summer of Supergirl push, DC has now confirmed three new titles: Supergirl: Survive, Superman: Father of Tomorrow, and Dark Knights of Steel II. Each one offers a different spin on familiar heroes, pushing them into new worlds, new roles, and new stakes.
Supergirl: Survive drops readers into a harsh reality where Krypton is collapsing, and General Zod is tightening control. Teenage Kara Zor-El and baby Kal-El are sent off together in an experimental rocket, forced to navigate a universe that is anything but welcoming. The series, written by Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan with art by Rod Reis, arrives June 3 and centers on survival, family, and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds.

Superman: Father of Tomorrow flips the origin story in a big way. Instead of Kal-El, it is Jor-El who escapes Krypton and lands in Kansas. Taken in by a kind couple, he grows into a hero who uses both his powers and intellect to protect Earth. Written by Kenny Porter with art by Danny Earls, the series launches May 27 and explores what it means for Superman to be shaped by experience rather than childhood.

Then in July, Dark Knights of Steel II brings back the fan-favorite medieval DC universe. Writer Tom Taylor and artist Otto Schmidt return to continue the saga, promising more high-stakes conflict and fantasy-driven storytelling.
With these releases rolling out from May through July, DC’s Elseworlds line continues to expand with bold reimaginings, new timelines, and creative takes on its most iconic characters.
