Trippy Adventures

The Freak Brothers is based off of a 60s underground comic from Gilbert Shelton. The animated series brings the characters to the current era with explaining their time travel due to obtaining the ultimate high which left them in stasis until 2020.

The new season will tackle many present day topics. Expect comedic takes on subjects such as AI, crypto currency, and social media fame. No matter what is covered, you can always expect the guys to pursue the next great high.

Season three of The Freak Brothers appropriately premieres today, 4-20, on Tubi.

Finding Yourself in the City

Kevin finds the titular cat heading off on his own after his owners break-up complicating the relationship between the trio. After experiencing some initial hardships, Kevin ends up living at a local pet rescue where he befriends a colorful assortment of animals that help him discover what he wants out of life.

The cast includes Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza, Whoopi Goldberg, John Waters, Aparna Nancherla, Gil Ozeri, and Amy Sedaris. The show is created and executive produced by Plaza and Joe Wengert. Dan Murphy, Chris Prynoski, Ben Kalina, Shannon Prynoski, and Antonio Canobbio are the other executive producers.

Stream the first season of Kevin beginning today, April 20, on Prime Video.

Monster Hunting

Stranger Things might have ended a few months ago, but that doesn’t mean the adventures of the characters are over. The original crew is back trying to solve another mystery in their hometown of Hawkins.

Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 takes place in between the second and third season. The kids are beginning to settle back down to a normal life after their exploits with the Upside Down. But they can’t buy a moment of peace and quiet as new monsters begin to terrorize the town. Are they also from the Upside Down or maybe escaped experiments from the Hawkins Lab? Our heroes must search for answers to put a stop to the monster attacks.

Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 releases Thursday, April 23, on Netflix.
