Predator crashes the Planet of the Apes in Marvel’s wild new crossover you didn’t see coming

A deadly Yautja hunt ignites a three-way war between humans, apes, and Predators in Marvel’s brutal new sci-fi showdown.

Step aside, Archie, there’s a new bipedal organism ready to fight Predator: The Planet of the Apes! Evolution made them. Now they face a test unlike any before.

This July, Marvel Comics launches Predator vs. the Planet of the Apes, a five-issue series written by Greg Pak and drawn by Alan Robinson. Created in collaboration with 20th Century Studios, the series marks the first crossover between the two sci-fi franchises. It continues Marvel’s growing line of 20th Century Studios titles, following projects like Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four and Predator: Bloodshed. The story brings together the core ideas of both worlds in a violent clash that pushes hunters and survivors to their limits.

The story begins when a Yautja crash-lands on the Planet of the Apes. After a rescue mission fails, astronaut Arch ends up trapped in a society where apes rule and humans live under their control. That fragile balance breaks when the Predators begin stalking both sides. What follows is a three-way conflict between humans, apes, and Yautja, with each group fighting to survive and dominate.

“Planet of the Apes and Predator are two of the most iconic sci-fi series of all time—I’d be thrilled to work on EITHER of them. But both of them together? Just incredible,” he continued. “Both series do so much wild worldbuilding, grapple with a deeply organic and compelling kind of sci-fi, and take on massive and eternally relevant themes of violence and war. Both also absolutely GO THERE, taking huge risks and leaps all the time. I can’t wait to show what we’re cooking up with Alan Robinson and the rest of the creative team.”

Fans can also check out the main cover by Stonehouse, along with variant covers by Tim Seeley and Chris Campana. A special prelude story will be available in Alien, Predator & Planet of the Apes #1 CGD 2026 on May 2 at participating comic shops.
