DC has announced that Absolute Catwoman #1 is returning to press ahead of its release, with a second printing scheduled to arrive in comic shops on July 15.
The first issue, written by Che Grayson and Scott Snyder with artwork by Bengal, colors by Giovanna Niro, and letters by Lucas Gattoni, goes on sale June 10. The early second printing reflects strong retailer orders and growing anticipation surrounding Selina Kyle’s debut in the Absolute Universe.
The new printing will feature a revised main cover by Bengal with a recolored logo, alongside open-to-order variant covers by Guillem March and Kaare Andrews, including a foil edition from Andrews.
In Absolute Catwoman, Selina Kyle has established herself as the world’s greatest thief through skill, preparation, and cutting-edge technology. Her carefully constructed life begins to unravel when someone from her past resurfaces, forcing her into a globe-spanning mystery tied to the darkest corners of the Absolute Universe.
DC has positioned this version of Selina as one of the most dangerous figures in the line, describing her as the “Absolute Apex Predator” thanks to her resources, training, and ability to stay several steps ahead of everyone around her.
Retailers can begin ordering the second printing on June 9. The issue will arrive one week after Absolute Catwoman #2 reaches stores.
Cassandra Cain steps into the Absolute Universe
DC also revealed a new one-shot connected directly to the events of Absolute Catwoman.

Absolute Cassandra Cain: The Shadow’s Hand #1 will be written by Che Grayson with artwork and a variant cover by Matias Bergara. Bengal will provide the main cover. The issue is scheduled to release on September 9 and will bridge the gap between Absolute Catwoman #3 and #4.
The one-shot explores the origin of Cassandra Cain within the Absolute Universe. According to DC, the story begins years earlier when the Joker trained with the League of Assassins before slaughtering its members after learning everything he could. From that devastation emerged Lady Shiva and her daughter Cassandra Cain.
The issue will examine how Cassandra became one of the world’s most formidable assassins and reveal the connection between her and Selina Kyle.
More Absolute Universe stories on the horizon
The announcement is the latest sign that DC is continuing to invest heavily in the Absolute Universe following the launches of Absolute Green Arrow and Absolute Catwoman.
The publisher also teased additional projects planned for later in 2026, including a new event miniseries set to launch during the fourth quarter. Further DC All In announcements, creative teams, and titles are expected in the months ahead as the publisher continues expanding its current publishing initiative.
