‘Absolute Green Arrow’ #1 returns for new second printing covers

‘Absolute Green Arrow’ launches in May, followed by ‘Absolute Catwoman’ in June, kicking off a larger push for the Absolute Universe in 2026.

Without the trick arrows. Without the fortune. Without mercy. What remains is the Absolute Hunter.

The first printing of DC’s Absolute Green Arrow #1 hits local comic shops on Wednesday, May 20, while supplies last, and demand is already pushing the issue back to press. DC has announced a second printing, set to arrive in stores on June 17.

The new printing features a main cover by Rafael Albuquerque and Marcelo Maiolo with a recolored logo, along with open-to-order variant covers by Ivan Tao and a foil variant by Tula Lotay.

In Absolute Green Arrow, a serial killer is targeting corrupt billionaires, leaving behind a chilling signature: green arrows embedded in each victim. Executive protection specialist Dinah Lance, known here as Absolute Black Canary, is tasked with uncovering the truth. Her investigation leads her through a lineup of deadly archers, all tied in some way to the recently murdered Oliver Queen.

The result is a brutal, urban horror take on the Emerald Archer mythos from Eisner Award winners Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque.

Spinning out of the events of Absolute Evil, the series leans into slasher storytelling while unraveling Oliver Queen’s past and the mystery surrounding his death.

Retailers can begin ordering Absolute Green Arrow #1 Second Printing on May 15. The issue lands in comic shops on June 17 alongside Absolute Green Arrow #2.

More to come from DC in 2026

Absolute Green Arrow launches in May, followed by Absolute Catwoman in June, kicking off a larger push for the Absolute Universe in 2026. DC is steering its heroes into darker territory, with more stories emerging from the most unsettling corners of the DC cosmos, including a new event miniseries planned for Q4 2026.

Meanwhile, DC: ALL IN continues its second phase with new Next Level #1 launches and fresh creative directions for major characters. Additional titles, teams, and story details are expected to roll out in the months ahead as DC builds toward a major year across the DCU.
