Clover Press is continuing its premium The DC Art Of… line with a new volume dedicated to one of the most influential artists of his generation. In partnership with Aspen Comics, the publisher has announced The DC Art of Michael Turner, a deluxe hardcover collecting Turner’s celebrated work across the DC Universe.

Set to launch via Kickstarter, the oversized 9” x 12” edition spans more than 200 pages and showcases Turner’s unmistakable take on DC’s most iconic heroes, including Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, the Justice League, and more. The release marks the third entry in Clover Press’ boutique art book series, which highlights defining artists and their contributions to DC’s legacy.

Alongside the main hardcover, the campaign will offer a range of Kickstarter-exclusive items. These include a special sketchbook edition featuring black-and-white artwork, an ashcan comic, exclusive slipcase and dust jacket options, and curated portfolio sets spotlighting Turner’s work on characters like Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, and The Flash.

The collection also features an introduction by Ghost Machine editor-in-chief and former DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, along with reflections from Turner’s friends and collaborators, including Jeph Loeb, Brad Meltzer, and Dan DiDio.

“We are so thrilled to be collaborating with the incredible team at Clover Press again to bring everyone the upcoming artbook, THE DC ART OF MICHAEL TURNER!” said Aspen Comics President Frank Mastromauro. “This Deluxe Edition Hardcover will be the most comprehensive collection of Michael’s DC artwork we have ever put together, ranging from his most popular covers and illustrations to some rarely seen and produced art. After months of preparing and assembling this hardcover, we are extremely excited and honored to bring this book to the fans and keep Michael Turner’s legacy alive and thriving!”

Michael Turner’s career left a lasting mark on comics. He rose to prominence in the 1990s at Top Cow Productions, where he co-created Witchblade, before launching his own series Fathom, which became the best-selling comic of 1998. He later founded Aspen MLT and continued to build a dedicated following through titles like Soulfire. At DC, his work on Superman/Batman helped introduce a new generation to Supergirl, while his dynamic covers for characters like Superman, The Flash, and the Justice League became fan favorites.

Turner passed away in 2008 at the age of 37 after a battle with bone cancer, but his art continues to resonate with readers and creators alike. The DC Art of Michael Turner aims to celebrate that legacy with a comprehensive collection that captures both his most iconic images and rarely seen pieces.
