Matthew Rosenberg and Szymon Kudranski have been putting together a magnum opus when it comes to their Punisher run. It delivers on violence, interesting twists and turns, and even fixes what “Secret Empire” did to mess up Punisher. He’s been on a course of revenge to stop Baron Zemo for ages now, but it appears he may get to face off with him soon enough. Only this time Zemo is back with his old superhero team.
In Punisher #13 we learn Mayor Fisk aka the Kingpin is going to take out Punisher with a special superhero task force.
Prior to unveiling them we see Baron Zemo and a few other familiar villains getting ready.
But wait, this seems familiar. This couldn’t be — no, not Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley’s creation from 1997!
Yep, the Thunderbolts are back, baby! That’s only the tip of the iceberg though. I recommend you read the full issue to get an idea of what is going on with Fisk and his plans.
